While the screenshots from yesterday had me thinking Captain America meets Castle Wolfenstein, the gameplay trailer for Next Level's Captain America: Super Soldier shows off an acrobatic hero that could give the Prince of Persia a run for his money.
It's not just the swinging and wall-running, though those are certainly a large part of the PoP vibe I'm getting off of this trailer. It's also the acrobatic combat. That final bit, where he runs up his enemy, flips over him, and comes down with the shield? I'd swear I'd seen the Prince doing that exact move.
Without the shield, of course.
This is not a bad thing. If you took any of Ubisoft's original Prince of Persia trilogy and substitute Captain America as the main character, I'd still buy it.
