Back in January I told you about the Pokémon Battle Royale, an exhibit at the Light Grey Art Lab in Minneapolis, Minnesota featuring 151 artist, each tasked with portraying one of the initial 151 Pokémon. Now we have the results of that experiment, and they are glorious.
The exhibit opened on April 20 to an overwhelming crowd, filling the space to capacity and trailing out the door. 151 artist from all over the world submitted their work, with an additional six raking on Ash, Misty, Brock, Nurse Joy, Team Rocket, and Professor Oak.
Now the show is over, but the art is eternal. I've showcased some of my favorites here, but the link below has the total package. They've got prints of all 151 for sale as well, and dammit if I don't want each and every one hanging on my wall.
