See What Games Minecraft's Creator (and Others!) Could Make In 48 Hours

After 48 hours of super-rushed game development, Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson has released a new game.

It's called Minicraft.

Taking some cues from Minecraft ("I call it Minicraft, since it's obviously going to get compared to Minecraft", he says), but more from the original Legend of Zelda, you control a little guy who has to gather supplies and kill bad guys.

You can play the game here.

But let's not allow the man to steal all the thunder! The game was made as part of a recent Ludum Dare competition, which for a while now (Minicraft is only the latest of several games Persson has put together for the event, the 22nd to be held) has been challenging developers to create games in just 48 hours.

So go check out some of the other games made as well!
