StarCraft II is out. People are buying it. People are playing it. Not everybody, though. Japan, for example.
Amazon rankings are sample set of Amazon customers, but they are also a good measure to see what has captured the imagination of the buying public. Here is Amazon.com:

While StarCraft II is not getting a localized Japanese language release — hence, the tepid interest. However, it is possible to play the game on U.S. servers from Japan.
Update: The imported version of StarCraft II has jumped to number 5 on the Amazon Japan charts. The country is catching StarCraft II fever! Impressive. All that is missing is a localized version.
