Gears Of War Meets...Political SatireS

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, he don't like video games. But the editors of Peruvian newspaper Peru21 didn't let that stop them using a recent arms deal to engage Chavez in a little involuntary Gears of War cosplay.

Chavez recently signed a $5 billion arms deal with Russia to buy a whole ton of tanks, submarines and helicopters. There are fears in the region, however, that the move will simply mean more Russian hardware will find its way into the hands of people who look like those guys from the start of Predator.

It's political satire, of course, but I also wonder who it flatters more: Chavez, who'll will think he looks like a badass, or the Russian military, who the Peru21 art team think look like soldiers from the future?
