Thank goodness it's Friday, when the off-topic conversation occasionally steers toward the gastronomic. Let's ring in the weekend by talking about anything we want, as long as that anything is about hot dogs.
See, the PAX East festivities happening this weekend made me pine for a Spike's Junkyard Dog, the "German Shephard" to be precise. When I lived in Boston, I used to love finding an excuse to eat at Spike's. Now, in Los Angeles, I have access to Pink's—but there's always a ludicrously long line—and the random hot dog truck. Needless to say, I miss being able to walk to Spike's.
Oh, I'm just teasing. You don't need to talk about hot dogs if you don't want to. Talk about anything! Maybe these things?

- 24 has been canceled - So long, Jack Bauer. You'll be missed.
- Bryan Singer not directing new X-Men movies - He'll produce instead, with Fox fast tracking the "First Class" prequel. My mutant ability to detect more crappy X-Men movies is trying to tell me something.
- China's instructions on reporting on Google - Nothing against China, but I'm pretty stoked not to live there.
- Bill Murray bartending at Shangri-La during SXSW - I really hope Bill Murray shows up at a party I attend someday.
