This week the Global Investment Conference takes place in London, and Prime Minister Gordon Brown has been talking up the importance of the UK game industry.
"We're leading the way in creative industries: by far the biggest producer of computer games in Europe," said Brown.
"And we're leading the way in digital communications: In a country with only one per cent of the world's population, more than a third of all internet traffic is routed through UK servers.
As the Prime Minister mentioned, the Global Investment Conference is "not just talking shop", but will deal with...investment.
Game site CVG pointed out, major UK developers include Lionhead (Fable), Rocksteady (Arkham Asylum) and Rockstar (GTA), among many others.
