A cop and his neighbor scour the gravity-twisted, alien-infested streets of their city in search of a missing boy in Inversion, a 3rd person shooter for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from Namco Bandai,
The alien Lutadore have invaded the Earth, their gravity-twisting weapons riddling major cities with areas of zero gravity and vector changes, sometimes literally turning the world upside-down for 28 year-old police officer Davis Russel. He and his neighbor, Lou Delgado, are on a mission to find Russel's missing son in the newly -announced Inversion, developed by Saber Interactive and due to be published by Namco Bandai in 2010.
The game looks as if it will be a technical showpiece, featuring all sorts of gravity manipulating weapons, as well as a destructible cover system courtesy of the Havok Destruction engine.
"Working with NAMCO BANDAI Games on a project of this caliber is a complete thrill," said Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive. "We are doing things in INVERSION that most people didn't think possible on the current generation of consoles. We can't wait to get INVERSION in the hands of gamers across the world."
It sounds like it could be one hell of a wild ride. We'll know more when we do. In the meantime, screenshots.
