This one kind of passed us all by first time around, but if you look closely at the Gran Turismo 5 trailer from Sony's E3 press conference yesterday, you can clearly see some car damage.

We've provided a screengrab above, but if you want to see it for yourself, head to the Subaru rally sequence at around the 1:25 mark in the video below.

If this makes it into the game - which by being in the game's trailer you'd expect would be the case - it would be a first for the series.
