Reader Dead Hex found this — apparently it was posted in mid-April and we missed it? But it's a concept video that dares asks the question, what if Nintendo developed Halo 3?
Oh, most of the punchlines are predictable stereotypes (you see, Nintendo develops games like this and Microsoft develops games like this) but, c'mon, some of it's pretty clever. Especially the final level. And the aerial combat. As soon as they take off, I was waiting for Starfox and ... yep, it doesn't disappoint.

Kinda predictable, but well done and funny. The only thing missing was a Mario Kart segment. Well, and a Metroid one but everyone knows Nintendo doesn't do shooters, right?

Even though I'm a bit of a Nintendo fanboy, I had to laugh once they got to the Star Fox part.
I got to thinking about what it would be like the other way around, and now I can't stop wondering about what would happen if Bungie made Metroid.

@Tiber: If they made Samus's health fixed at a certain value and regenerate back to full in a few seconds of not being shot, I would hate them forever.

Okay, I'll bite here.
Honestly, I know it's the cool "in thing" these days for Kotaku to hate on Mario Kart but the simple fact is that A. the game isn't boring, B. the game controls flawlessly with EVERY control scheme, despite Kotaku's extremely lame moanings about how much they suck with the wheel, and C. more than likely you've never even played the game and are just floating along with the current cool trend to hate on Nintendo for no real reason.

I was expecting to be annoyed by this, and I ended up enjoying it and laughing, its more of a halo cut out and pasted into starfox, pokemon snap, and mario.
Mario Kart if fun, I'm only bored with it cause I get frustrated with the rubber band AI, playing with humans is a blast.
@waterhand: it depends on what you think as "good graphics" .... i like mario galaxy graphics a lot more than halo 3 graphics, it's all about style and art direction :P
