Not a whole lot of substance here, but Electronic Arts today confirmed their continuing support of E3 by announcing their official show press conference.
The publisher plans on taking over LA's Orpheum Theater on Monday at 3 p.m. For those of you keeping track, that's technically the day before the show starts.

I've never been to an E3, but I would sell my soul and first-born child (That doesn't exist in any capacity) to go.
I thought the day before press conferences were usually reserved for the three console manufacturers.
@AndrewG009: It's really not that cool.
I went to E3 a few years ago - when they unveiled the PS3 and there was a 5 hour line to play 15 minutes of Twilight Princess.
That was a great E3, but still too loud, frustratingly crowded with people who have noting to do with the game industry, and peppered with crap that you could care less about (like the NGage)
@wild_world_girl:
Ah, got'cha. I don't know, I just think it would be interesting to see, be part of the spectacle, you know?
@liquid_kore: I think it's just the first three press conferences that take place during the show are reserved, which is probably why EA went the day before to use a loop hole.
@wild_world_girl: now its much quieter but way harder to get into
Guys E3 isn't the coolness it used to be,now it's more of a conference :/ no more fun,it's pretty much for press only.
so its in May again? :D
I went three years ago and two years ago and if you're a big gamer like me you'd love it. I don't know how it is now that it isn't as big an event but when it had the large crowds, crazy setups, and hot booth babes, it was a great way to spend three days.
I would like for once to go to a tradeshow/expo as an attendee, not an exhibitor (I work tradeshows in the banking, gaming, retail, and foodservice/hospitality industry).
Elitist E3 still sucks
@AndrewG009: relax homie, there is life after games. a game event that happens once a year can never compare to the birth of a child...
trust me!
:D
that said, E3 gets a thunderous "meh" for me. broadcast on tv whatever is important to us as gamers. you can keep your members only event to yourselves. :P
You find that people who attended the older format E3 would often do whatever they could to avoid going again. It's crazy, massive, busy horrid days.
Sure, it's fun to see all the games before they're on the shop floor but once you've been it really loses its sheen.
What will be strange is having a console unveiling either without an E3 or a severely disabled one. Oh well.
