I forgot about it too, in honesty. Won't remember it this week either, as much as I love free things, I really don't play this game at all despite owning a copy. I'm too easily addicted.

Are those the cards right there? (There's three there though you say two in the post.) Couldn't you just print them out instead of hoping to be picked?

@swarmster: This was discussed last time as well. The codes at the top aren't the ones you'll be using on the real cards. :)

@sevendash: Ah, they are all the same, aren't they. It would be funny if it popped up something embarrassing like a rubber-ducky-in-a-baby-bonnet monster if you tried playing them.

Am I understanding this correctly, though? These promo cards are Set 2, so you would still need to pay the extra fee to the PSN to actually use them? I'm still calculating whether I would get enough extra fun out of EOJ to justify paying tons of $ for new cards and still having to pay for the right to use them.

Yep, I got the winning e-mail, so I'm looking forward to them showing up in the mail in a few weeks. The Playstation blog web page actually crashed several times because so many people were trying to get the cards.

You're not paying for the right to use them -- you can still play the game without the PS3. What you're paying for is the new ruleset and animations. That stuff doesn't come free ... there really isn't any way to recoup the cost without charging for that. Magic: The Gathering can just release a new set and be done, but EoJ needs artists and programmers to create something beyond the cards.

If you go to EyeofJudgement.com you can see the instructions for playing without the PS3 ... but, I mean, why bother. :P

@Mike Fahey: You should rearrange those cards. It should be Parmetic Deathspeaker, General Lug, then Noram Zealot. This way the pictures would line up and make a uniform picture.
