By now, you must have seen the custom made Super Mario World levels that require no player, no controller to pass. They simply let Mario and Yoshi do their thing, as buttons, switches and blocks boost them through each level. None of those user created levels are as impressive as this 11-minute monster, which uses the sound effects from those switch-hits and Koopa Troopa stomps to make beautiful music. My untrained ears can pick out but a few recognizable tunes—Mega Man 2 and Super Mario World, I don't know from Haruhi and Lucky Star—but song list help in the comments is more than welcome. The main Final Fantasy theme (that very few people seem to know for the entire series' theme) is in there towards the end.
the ones i could notice immediately included Lucky star's op, haruhi's ed, the haruhi insert song "God Knows", the Busou Renkin op "Makka Na Chikai", "Uninstall" the op for Bokurano , and the op to Sousei no Aquarion.
Woooow... this is an odyssey of amazement.
Snap! How do people do this kind of stuff? I can't imagine the patience this took.

Thar was pretty cool. I'm happy I watched till the end. The person who made this put so much effort into it I kinda felt obligated and I think it was rewarding :)

At about -1:27, there's the Dragon Quest theme, I'm sure of it, and yeah, right after iat at -1:18 is the Prologue from Final Fantasy IV.

Nice vid. I recognized most of the songs, although I had trouble with a few. My favorite was the Final Fantasy IX overworld theme, even though it only lasted for about 30 seconds.

@cornpopsicle: I was eying that same list and trying to pull it together.
Even knowing the song list, there are so many Nico Nico references in there. So many videos to watch to fully understand all the references.
And for some reason, I'm drawn to that sort of thing.
Even though I don't know many game soundtrack, especially older ones, I definitely appreciated the hard work shown in the quality of this video. Most parts were just simply awesome!
