For a Japanese role-playing game, Alpha Ride looks like standard stuff. But for a game with screwing, it’s anything but.

Note: Some readers might find the content of this article objectionable.

The stereotype is that your typical adult PC game in Japan is set in a high school (or whatnot) and is less about traditional gameplay. But some of the best titles are also known for their gameplay, story, or both! Which is why they can be adapted into games or anime that don’t have explicit adult scenes.

Alpha Ride’s official website is deceptively not hardcore. It really looks like the kind of site you’d see for a Japanese PS Vita game. (But do be careful where you click around! ‘Cause there’s NSFW stuff!) Tokyo-based WillPlus developed the title, and for years now, has been churning out RPGs for PC with adult content.

Via Japanese site Insidears (NSFW), you can see screens from Alpha Ride’s demo. The game is a tactical RPG. The art is pretty good! And while the in-game graphics might not be amazing (some of those textures are blergh), the screens look like they belong in mass market, mainstream game. You know, one that doesn’t have fucking.

But then...

Yeah.

Japanese censorship sure has gotten strict.

Kidding! Kotaku added the extra mosaics.

Alpha Ride is an adults-only game for PC, coming this October in Japan.
