Announced last week, Koei Tecmo is making an Attack on Titan game. It’s being developed by Omega-Force, the developers of all the Dynasty Warriors games. But it won’t be a Warriors game. And they want you to know that.
For the playable demo of Dragon Quest Heroes, I went in expecting just another Warriors-style game with a Dragon Quest skin over it. What I got was much more.
Back in the day Japanese developers didn't have the budget or the control to make perfect Japanese-to-English translations... although probably no one really cared. They had to translate and export their games to the West as fast as possible.
The Warriors is one of my all-time favorite games - I have a PS2 mostly to keep it, and Red Dead Revolver, fully playable whenever the nostalgia hits me. Though "The Warriors" had no cinematic sequel, Rockstar was plotting a followup anyway, one set in 1960s Britain at the height of the Mods-vs.-Rockers brawls.
Eminem tweeted he'd appear in Activision's event at E3, and yesterday I joked "I don't think he's appearing on behalf of Call of Duty: Black Ops." Maybe he is. A track from his new album will be in the game.
