Hey man, a bit late to this what with the travel and such. I’ve only played Generations and not for too long. I’ve had my 3DS for about a year at most. It’s a fun game and the structure honestly reminds me of Phantasy Star Online, which I’m down for because I played that game over dial-up. Read more

Riley, I’m in the back of an LA cab, not sure sure where I am and playing some Fire Emblem Heroes. On the plane, I took down a very prickly testsucabra in Monster Hunter. Read more

I’ll bite. This weekly feature has always been about looking at games of note regardless of the time frame. We featured Sky Rogue, which had an initial release of 2015. Beeswing is similarly “old” and we covered it anyway because it is a quality game with a lot of heart. Read more

For what it is worth, I run most settings at Ultra on dual GTX 1070s and the game still feels like a hog. Read more

Some folks are saying the foliage discrepancy has been dealt with in a patch but I’m leaving it up there as a general tip for posterity. Battlegrounds isn’t particularly well optimized. Playing on low settings might help deal with that. Read more

It’s not as dramatic as something like the Witch’s Marks. Instead, you’ll end up with a handful of items like special stones that help direct stat growth or unique weapons. Rise of the Deliverance gives you some memory fragments too, which give extra story scenes.

The next DLC will let you recruit character from Fire Read more

Don’t hold me to this but I’m pretty sure you just need to be able to access the world map to connect and play DLC. Which would just mean playing a little bit of the opening with Alm. There’s no Outrealm gate to access DLC here like in Awakening or Fates; you just pull it up from a menu and play. Read more

Rime’s producer noted that Denuvo does affect performance. Severity is the biggest question at the moment. If running so many checks per second causes performance issues it’s worth considering if that protection is worth it or not, especially when it’s going to get cracked in a few weeks regardless. I had Donnel and Cordelia marry and holy crap Severa was a terrifying whirlwind of destruction. Read more

For skills alone, I really wanted Lyn. Rehabilitate and Swift-Winds Balm seems like a really useful combination Read more

Here’s the thing though: Javi’s a fine protagonist. His past is interesting and he has deep connections to the broader plot and most of its major players. He’s given player of flashback scenes so we can understand who he was before the zombies came. Read more

For sure. I think some people will find it useful but I’m also unsure about the necessity when enemies already respawn on the map and every time you go into a dungeon. The growth per kill is a bit higher here but the game already allows players a way to grind that isn’t going to cost them cash. Read more

It’s a lot. I forgot how it breaks down for Awakening and Fates but there was a ton of DLC there too although it was more varied in what it offered. I’m interested to see how the prologue content works and if it’s good, I might recommend that alone. Read more

We had some tough solo matches today but I do want to take a minute to brag about this other chicken dinner, won shortly after the stream alongside a squad of cool pals.

I definitely want to return to it. I had a lot of fun streaming. We have some ARMS and Battlegrounds this weekend but I imagine we’ll get back to Horizon pretty quickly. It’s such a gorgeous game! Read more

It’s a longer weekend, Riley, so I get to have some fun! First, I’ll be playing the ARMS Testpunch and streaming it live on our Twitch. I also plan to play through much of the Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia DLC so I can tell folks about that. Read more

Definitely. There was a lot of looking at paintings and figuring out virus sequences. Plenty of locks and crests. A really good fit for a room escape. Read more
