It’s not a good time for Airbnb hosts or renters in Japan right now: The private residence renting service was recently forced to cancel thousands of already booked and paid reservations in Japan, all thanks to a new set of Japanese laws that went into effect on June 15. Here’s what’s going on over there, and what…
Try not to freak out, but this post is about a $133 board game. That sounds like a lot of money. It is a lot of money. But Gloomhaven is Board Game Geek’s #1 board game ever, and is “astoundingly good” according to Ars Technica. The problem is that it’s hardly ever in stock at major retailers, and eBay resellers…
Steins;Gate Elite, an updated of 2009's Steins;Gate, has a release date for Japan. The game will be out September 20 on the Switch, PS4 and, in Japan, on the PS Vita. It was supposed to be out this March but was delayed. The international release date is still TBA.
In fall 2017, Sony announced a new character named “Gonjiro.” When Gonjiro debuted, it was black with big eyes, large lips, a red button on its chest and an exposed butt. The character, it seems, is now red.

Or at least that’s what it’s supposed to refer to. Over time, the definition of “asset flip” seems to have devolved into “anything that ever uses a…
The Xbox One’s new avatars are almost here. An editor is rolling out to Xbox Insiders now that lets them build and tweak their avatars ahead of the actual release of the mascots, which MS says is coming “soon”.
Here is a very good mod that takes the gruff military characters from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and replaces them with the cast of the Neptunia JRPG series. Even in the singleplayer campaign, even in zombies mode.
West Virginia is not just a fantastical dystopian hellscape depicted in the trailer for Fallout 76. It’s a real place in the real dystopian nation of America! Thanks to Fallout 76, the state is now seeing interest from actual tourists.
For those of us who didn’t get a chance to visit Los Angeles for this year’s Electronic 3 Two-Zero-One-Eight, Tim and our wonderful video team on the West Coast have been hard at work providing us with an inside look. That also means a peek at all of the weird stuff E3 has to offer, like VR shoes for optimal…
At an E3 where Nintendo and its partners largely played it safe with big Smash Bros. and Pokémon sequels, the company tucked a clever new Switch development in a trailer for a new Mario Party. Blink and you’d miss it: the sight of two Nintendo Switch screens connected into one oddly-shaped game board.
