Last week, we bought a bed. And yesterday, just like that, it arrived. Amazing how that works.
For the last couple of years, we haven't had a bed — our last apartment was so damn small that we had to sleep on mats in the living room! And since we moved here, we've pretty much been sleeping on the floor.
Not so bad, I guess.
But, now that we have enough space for, well, a bed, we decided to buy, well, a bed. Not sure if you have been bed or mattress shopping recently. It's quite interesting. The million-and-one dollar question is always, what kind of mattress do you want? A hard one? Or a soft one? I guess there is a medium one, but I don't recall being asked that. Maybe I was asked! I could've been zoning out at that moment, so I dunno.
We went with a firm mattress with the thinking that we've been sleeping on the floor so are probably used to sleeping on a firm surface. And aren't firm mattress good for your back?
