Resident Evil 5 is the first new (core) RE game in four years. It's also the first to launch simultaneously on multiple platforms. So interest in the title was always going to be high.
But how high, exactly? Well, as of writing, the demo - out for a few weeks now - has been downloaded a combined total (ie adding both 360 and PS3 downloads) of four million times. That's a lot.
While this is normally a good thing, we wonder whether in this case whether it may actually count against RE5 sales, since it seems as many people found serious issues with the demo as found it an incentive to purchase.
