This Week In Video Game Comics

The "unthinkable" happens in a Sonic comic that hits U.S. comics shops today. Also, on the heels of last week's Mass Effect comic release, EA gets two more comics out, both tied to early 2010 games.

*sigh* *Steps on soap box*

Standardized Sonic responses for Stephen's comic posts (Special thanks to Gawker's SNL threads for the idea):

1. The Sonic comic is still going?

2. How is the Sonic comic still going?

3. Man, I haven't read the Sonic comics since ___ (age/date)

4. The Endgame arc was the ____ (Best/Worst)

5. The UK Sonic comic was soooo much betterrrrr.

6. Dear Sega: If you really want to save Sonic you must first end this furry soap/fan-fic!

7. Dear Sega: Change Eggman's name back to Robotnik!

And already on this page I count at least five of the above seven non-comment comments. If you're going to say one of the listed-above, it's better to say nothing at all (aka what we all learned from Bambi).

I said it before, and I say it again: The Sonic comic is still going because people read it. Why? Because kids read it. Because Sonic fans read it. Because general comic fans read it. It has a new writer who has ditched much of the furry melodrama, making it a little more accessible (again; it's about as accessible as any long-running series can be).

And again, I must link to the testimony of an informed adult:
