]]> <![CDATA[Niko Bellic's Backstory]]> I will say one thing. Niko is easily one of the most believable characters to come out of the games industry in some time. You can't help but sympathize with the guy who, though great at killing, feels bad about doing it some times and really has heart when he is pushed. Anyone who did the Rescue Roman Mission will agree he was arguably the most pissed off you will ever see him. Plus big props to really giving Niko some great facial expressions and good reactions. I cracked up at the quizzical look he gave to badman when he first met him and could not understand a word he was saying (who could?). By the end, I wanted to buy the man a beer and be there as a friend. It may be early but I seriously want to play him more in ongoing sequels. Way more than any other Grand Theft protagonist.

im way too poed at the state of games.
this little video will be handy in filling in some gaps i probably missed as big climactic reveals that weren't worth trudging through 10 year old game-play.
coming out of the 90's its hard to get used to only looking forward to graphical improvements or tennis simulations.
not trying to go against the grain, just telling a story about a genesis-n64 era gamer scorn from the turn of the century's lack of innovation.

I wouldn't care about the spoilers normally, but reviewers all went nuts over the plot of GTAIV, so I figure I don't need all my theories crushed about how the story develops, particularly in reference to the "ending changing decision" and which former associates, etc. you'll be forced to kill. I hope R* is putting some intentional misdirection in. One of the things I hated about Army of Two is that you could tell who the last boss would be halfway into the first stage.
