I applaud Nintendo for making Wii Fit and similar games like it even though I may not be interested in buying them.

The point is Nintendo has shown that it is trying to make games for different types of gamers.

Anyway, it goes to show that by pulling stunts like this, Microsoft is trying to be a Nintendo wannabe.

I'm sure part of Microsoft's soul does care about promoting the meaning of the event, but it's too damn obvious that Microsoft is scared of Wii Fit's success. By that, I mean that it Wii Fit's success is only going to help strengthen the casual and non-gamers who are on Nintendo's side not to mention getting Nintendo some more positive media coverage in the process.

How are you comparing this to the hospital donation? This is such a blatant attempt at countering the Wii Fit that it overshadows any "good" that Microsoft was trying for here. Do you really believe they're in it to raise awareness about fitness? The fact that this is happening right before Wii Fit has nothing to do with it huh?

The only thing Microsoft is trying to raise awareness of is that they can do fitness on their system too. They don't give a shit about anything else.

Look above at how many times they mentioned DDR. It's a horrible publicity stunt to sell games. Nothing more.
