The Armed Forces thing, yes they're kept well out of harms way. They're Officers, and Officers with their roles generally aren't running around on the front lines, there's nothing unusual about that. I know of few world leaders or future monarchs that are as down-to-earth-self-depreciating as him. When talking to members of the public he often comes across as very genuine and sincere.

I'm not a massive royal supporter by any means, but some of these stories are turning Kotaku in to little better than gutter press; sensationalist headlines appearing to quote verbatim a persons comment, when in fact, upon reading said linked article, nothing of the sort was implied/spoken.
