The new peripheral-based EyeToy games sounds interesting.
Judging by the fact that EyeToy hasn't made an appearance in the States for the past 4 years, I'm guessing that the American audience may not be able to play these games...

What sounds like a rip-off is the Buzz! Junior games on the PS3.
so, essentially, I'll be paying for a handful of some of the same minigames on Buzz! Junior games that's already out, but just in HD?
I don't think the old Buzz! Jr games ever needed to be seen in HD...

Nymo

There's actually something to this.

I've got two major game enterprises in Second Life. One is a virtual arcade, with classic 80s style coin-ops of my own design. The other is a simple fishing game, like the ones you'd find in Animal Crossing and MySims and such.

Of the two, the fishing game is VASTLY more popular. Why? Because you can do it in groups while chatting and interacting. The game requires minimal input and can be done alongside normal socializing.

Another good, solid proof... Uno. You don't need to focus much to play Uno, so talking is expected of you, and it enhances the experience greatly. Until someone uses the 360 live vision to show off their junk, of course.

Twoflower

@Snake726: Floding@Home is something that users are doing together. So it is about the network.

Eyetoy:Hero/PomPom sound good for kids. If the graphics are decent they can get kids into that

jackal888

So intrinsically, you can't play Folding at Home together, because it's not a game and it's totally solo -- not even YOU play it. I'm not sure Sony PR understands this.

"All you need to do to play a part in Folding@home is to select the project's icon in the Network column of the Cross-Media Bar (XMB), then leave your machine running."

Snake726

What does Folding@home have do with casual gaming at all? It's not even a game, and I'm pretty sure if a "casual gamer" wanted to cure cancer that bad, they'd donate $500 to a foundation as opposed to buying a PS3.

UVaDave
