it's a good movie, no matter how you slice it. not worth a masterpiece, no, but it delivers exactly what you'd want from a movie with superpowered exoskeleton armor suit. and fairly witty humour to boot.

Is it just me that finds the concept of the Incredible Hulk boring? Still haven't seen the incredibly green and plastic existing film.

I'd be interested to see what they could do with Thor (Although I would prefer just a movie based on Norse mythology) but the Avengers is one they should save for when they run out of the good comic ideas when comic movies begin dying a death of over-exploitation.

I'd rather see a Thundercats or new gritty Judge Dredd movie (I know they are not marvel), or even a Zoids movie based on the British comic.

Zombie marvel movie would be cool but they would never do it. Which reminds me that Dredd story with zombies would make a cool movie... I can but dream.

I also saw it Sunday and I have to admit, it's definitely one of the best comic book movies I've seen in a while. Hopefully Marvel can carry on this momentum with The Incredible Hulk.

As far as Marvel taking a more active role in their franchises beyond comics, I do hope they take a long, hard look at what farming things out to second and third-tier Western studios has produced. Personally, I'm hoping someone at Marvel will put two and two together and see that the new Street Fighter 4 engine (which will undoubtedly be powering new Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, etc.) could also be used to craft a new generation of Marvel fighter.

With that said, I am really excited that Marvel has taken a more pro-active role with its franchises. It hopefully means they have a lot more control over preventing stupid story lines like the one that Spiderman 3 and X-Men 3 threw at us. Iron Man, like everybody else, has taken the top spot in superhero movies for me so definitely an awesome start for the new studio. I really hope they keep the bar high for the movies to come.

It's already been decided that Iron Man is going to be a trilogy and all the actors have signed on to show up for all three. It takes true lovers of the comic to act--not wannabe actors like there are for X-Men (even though it really doesn't need another movie).

The movie used humor liberally, but it wasn't Michael Bay humor (aka it was actually funny/witty/endearing). The characters are likeable, the story well-crafted, the pacing expert. It is a highly recommended movie.

As for the Avengers... I'll remain cautiously optimistic, but when you put too many cooks (superheroes) in the kitchen (one movie), it can quickly go south. It's hard to make a character-driven story when you have to tell many separate stories in under 2 hours.
