I went to see the movie with somebody who had to have the final scene explained to her. It's not much of a leap of faith to believe that there are more people who won't have anything spoiled by his comment than would, and that the majority of those who would probably have knowledge of the upcoming movies already. I mean hell, the movies have been announced for a while now. They've been promised since freakin' 2006, for crying out loud.

I don't consider what rzac30 said a spoiler of any kind. He painted with far too broad a brush to be considered an offender in my book.

And that particular comment had to be deciphered to be even remotely considered a spoiler. ((And considering the movie's all announced for 2011 and everything, it's hardly even that.))

We already had Cloverfield, which, brought the Blair Witch style back to life in a whole new revamped way while bringing a fantastic experience. Batman: Dark Knight, looks incredibly promising from both a fanboy and movie lover point of view. Indian Jones, whoa and wow! Also looks promising. Hancock, haven't heard too much about it, but I am sure Will Smith will keep his track record alive. And last but not least Incredible Hulk, which I am assuming, has learned from its mistakes from the first film. And that is just the very girth of it. Now, you name me a year with that many awesome movies and I will personally deliver 3 boxes of Krispy Kreams and a pack of Dr. Pepper all signed by yours truly.

1. The actor will always have work. RDJ is appearing as Tony Stark in the Hulk (post Iron man, so he's already the super hero.)

Maybe I'm just getting harder to satisfy with movies because I don't like being a nick-picking critic. I wanted to really like this movie, and as great as RDJ's performance was, it just didn't make the movie any better than good. Maybe a sequel will deliver.

Subjectively Halo 3 is a better online multi-player game, a far worse single player game, and a very unsatisfying sequel. Halo 1 was sort of interesting, sort of a UT with a decent story line. Halo 2 and 3 were derivative tripe with decent online multi player and nothing else.

It helps that the filmmakers actually hired Stan Winston and his company to create working full-scale Iron Man Mk1 and 2 and Iron Monger suits.

Plus, I don't know what you've been reading but the way the film looked is closer to the way Iron Man was done during it's hey day. It also helps that Adi Granov was involved in designing the suits and look of the movie.

I rank this one as just below Batman Begins and the first Superman in terms of origin story for superhero movies.

Downy was a great pick to be Tony Stark, though, I'll give the movie that much. The rest of the movie was fairly poor, IMO. It reminded me, sort of, like the X-Men movies. I hated those, though. Iron Man is at least decent. Too many stupid special effecy-special effects. Looks way too "Dumb" and artificial... and not much at all like the comic book.

I hate special effects that look out of place, and a LOT of them do. Like, for example, the touch panel on a glass door. I mean, come the hell on. Totally out of place.

Also, what the hell is up with The Dude being a villain! :(

Big reason: As a kid, I used to watch a lot of Fox Kids Marvel cartoons including X-men, Spiderman, Fantastic Four etc. Every time I watched Iron Man or *ugh* Silver Surfer the ratio of dialog vs action was unforgiving.

I remember I would sit through watching him talk about his problems with others, be lonely, go fly somewhere with his suit for peace...do something dammit!

Marvel must of felt obliged to show a deeper meaning to some shows. I'm going to make a safe bet here and say maybe the influence of Iron Man to others probably came from the comics.
