We were about eight feet from the band and about four feet from the speakers. My ears rang for three days. They did Meantime as an encore. Got split up from my friend about half way through the concert and didn't see him again until I got to my truck and he was laying in the back.

I had to deal with about four or five kids asking me if I had seen Iron Man yet (I'm a teacher). They all know I want to see it because I have an Iron Man background on my computer. All of them wanted to tell me about it.

It's always been common to place superheroes in war-time scenarios, but I think this is one of the few cases where they approached it from the right perspective.

It was every moment in his house that made me cringe/laugh, because we all know that 90% of the technology you saw in there was just really far fetched.

Anyways, I'll let you guys enjoy the movie, while I enjoy my Spider-Man.

Ok ok, AI and flying like that is way off but DARPA have been researching exo suits for soldiers since the 50s.

Thats why i liked it more than usual superhero movies, less of this lame super hero shooting lazers out of your eyes bollocks and wearing your underwear on the outside.

It's still far fetched enough to be entertaining but doesn't have me cringe / laugh every 5 seconds due to it being too far from reality.

I like how they gave the movie a contemporary feel by tying it in with the Afghanistan war. Robert Downey couldn't have been a better choice for Tony Stark. There were lots of comedic moments...brilliant movie! I haven't been this satisfied with a super hero movie since Spider-Man 2/Batman Begins.

And Jeff Bridges had gone mad for power why? What was his motivation?

Spider-Man was so much better. You almost had sympathy for the bad guys, and it wasn't over the top unrealistic.

I am amazed that such a movie can still be made. To think, 10 years ago, a good comic book movie was simply inconceivable. Now I place Spiderman 2, Batman Begins, and IRON MAN as three excellent contradictions to that claim.
