Some kids have fun, and then some kids have fun at other peoples expense.. we call those brats or psd (pint sized demon;You know, because your bigger than them and really can't do anything to em, so they can just annoy the living hell out of you until there the good ripe age of 18 for the most part...and there parents always use that damn excuse. OH there kids they don't know what there doing.. oh they know damn well what their doing..its why brats giggle..THEY KNOW!)

I know it set me straight on the level of respect of adults and veterans who have already walked my path and ate that much more meals.

I've been in the states for 16 years .Now living comfortably and very wealthy.

My secret?, I tackle all meetings and even personal dinners with CEO's and clients with the mentality of a S. Korean. It gets to a point where 99% of the meetings end up with the client saying "I just can't get rid of you, can I?"

I still find it appalling that kids and even those in their 30's calling out adults and seniors by their first name.

As a grown ass man, as a first-gen Park in America, as a successful business venturer, as an individual who understands the basic moral and ethics and the relationship between two homo sapiens; I really do appreciate the beatings that were given to me at a young age.

Regardless of race, it says something when you bow 90 degrees, cusp both hands with intensity, to show respect while showing that I am not toy to be turned on and off, those few moments of body language sends a strong message to the receiving end.

My neighbour's kids apparently have some beef with us and throws snowballs and pebbles right at my window during the winter and runs away when I come out. When I tell them I'll have to talk to their parents, they're not even a bit sorry, just kinda stunned that I actually came out. And they're outside, watching me as I ring their door bell and talk to their rents. What's more infuriating is that their rents seem to think it's perfectly acceptable. Not a word of apology from them either, and a few "yes yes I'll tell them to stop". I had to talk to them multiple times, and one time they even said "you can tell them to stop too". Are you fucking joking me? It's YOUR responsibility to control your hellspawns, not me. At any rate, the 4th time I had to talk with them I threatened to call the police. Since then they didn't do jack shit. At the end of all this though, I never heard a single word of apology from them. God I hate my neighbour.

Most fun ever, back in the day, was to take the cable remote and hide outside the neighbors' living room windows to switch the tv channels :)

Then we'd go climb up the back of the building at the old county jail to look in the one window without frosted glass, and make faces at the guys in the drunk tank.

They rang the doorbell, disappeared, I opened the door... no-one there, but I was suspicious; a bunch of out-of-place-not-any-of-the-local kids had been pissin' about lower down the street that morning.

I could hear a faint laugh so I decided to be a bit 'dangerous' and mutter 'chickenshits' loud enough anyone around the driveway to hear...

Went back inside, grabbed a baseball bat (which i've never used to stike any balls of the sport it was originally designed for - weird that) and waited on the other side of the door.

Sure enough 1 minute later another ring. The sound of 'sneakers-against-concrete' and a fast disappearing shadow through the side windows assured me it was a prank, so i flung the door open and charged out after him/her.

He wasn't alone.

3 others were standing at the foot of the driveway, all about 12-13, chavs, the bunch of em.

As I first eyeballed em I thought this was going to go all sorts of 'wrong', but with their friend already running, and the sudden dramatic opening of the door complete with armed person coming outta it, it shit them up each side of their assholes.

All of em took off screaming their heads off, the 'ringer' looking back for a brief second wondering why his friends were taking off... I've only ever seen one person look more afraid in all my life.

My girl came home and I relayed to her the incident. Needless to say she tore into me, informing me I was lucky not be stabbed or fucking shot through the head. Guess so.

Kinda made me nervous the next few times I left the house... Not to the extent I was checking for car bombs before leaving the driveway, but... still...

i remember we used get rocks, sized like a handgrenade.
then we would search for houses with open windows - we throw the rock in there and would scream: "GRENAAAADE!!" and run away. i feel so stupid xD

another thing was blasting mailboxes in front of houses.
usually, we did this on new years eve, when we had access to explosives.
we would save the most powerful ones and throw them into mailboxes, and often they exploded, a few even fell of the wall.

My family was vacationing on Cape Cod, in 70 0r 71, I was 12, 13-ish (of course I had an onion tied to my belt, as that was the style at the time). I fell in with a mischiveous crowd, and one evening we were doing the old ding-and-ditch on holiday cabins on the bayside beach.

Well sir, me and another fellow rang a certain doorbell one too many times, and were caught up in the wrath of some vacationing fuddy-fuddy, who grabbed me harshly by the arm and proceeded to give me a stern, threat-laden talking-to.

I naturally professed my innocence to him, and then shortly thereafter to my father, as I explained that some gruff bastard had essentially assaulted me, and accused me of petty vandalism.

My father the rocket scientist was a naturally imposing figure, and had also done a tour in Korea in '50, as a combat medic. Bracing an errant tourist- especially one who had dared laid hands on his own progeny- was as effortless to him as tieing his shoe. In seconds we were off to the scene of the crime, and a testosterone-laced comeuppance.

On the one hand, I was happy to see the fellow sweat and "ummina-ummina-ummina" as he grudgingly produced an apology for his behavior.

On the other hand, I eventually felt pretty low for decieving my father, and ill-using him as a weapon of social rectitude.

Oh what the hell, it was worth it! Everybody got punk'D!
