TO put into perspective on how bad this poster is they are using 'default shine'. I theorize they used after effects and applied shine behind the dragonball. Default Shine is the default colors that are created by clicking the shine button, you are told to change these colors, these guys didn't. I expect this amateurism for cheap car lot commercials, not for multi-million dollar films.

please no. i mean honestly, i loved dbz in cartoon form.

it was campy, the animations were ridiculous and repetitive and it was all part of it's charm.

hell, they took a break from the cell saga to make an entire episode devoted to piccolo getting his drivers license!

and the fights that took like 13 episodes to get to and another 4 to finish?

how could you possibly translate that kind of camp into a long form movie, let alone a real person remake?

Aww man! I would totally pay to see a live action Exo Squad.

For those that don't know about the plot for this movie (No Spoilers I swear). It's based more on the original Dragon Ball (before Z). In the movie he's a teenager, Piccolo is the main bad guy (I assume Piccolo Dai Mao no the younger one) and I doubt there will be any Super Saiyan-ness.

It's not a straight translation of the series at all (though Goku WAS a teenager when he fought Piccolo Dai Mao) so I'm sure certain things will be different. For example Bulma, Chi Chi, and Yamcha are all confirmed but I haven't heard any mention of Krillan.

Actually, although Goku couldn't fly at the beginning of DBZ Picollo could. Goku was finally able to fly after his training at Master Kai's place. By the time Vegeta and Nappa had arrived on Earth 1 year after the beginning of DBZ everyone could fly. (except maybe gohan, I don't remember too well)

I though the Transformers movie was good at least as good as you could exspect but the dragonball z series is so over the top I hope it doesn't look to computer generated like the last Matrix flying battle at the end. It did look cool when they weren't close up but when the action was upclose it look so CG that it turned me off. Could it be that I have the HD-DVD versions and a 50" 1080p TV and I can see every pixel?

You're right, but it's not like you're seeing the movie as it will show up on screen. If you too a snapshot of pre production, or even shooting scenes from most movies they'd look nothing like the finished work. I'm not saying they didn't look bad, I'm just saying don't judge the movie based on what little we have so far, which amounts to so very little.

Casting on the other hand is another thing....
