I finally received my lapboard and it is actually pretty cool. I use it in my Home theater with my PS3 on a 145″ screen. Yes, it is compatible with the PS3. I also switch it to my PC which is also connected to my projector and love how comfortable it is playing Team Fortress 2. I tried with a regular wireless mouse and keyboard but they are clumsy. Specially having the mouse so far to the right and trying to balance them both. This has made gaming in my Theater so much better. Thanks Phantom….Finally

I don't understand why this is making news at all. If this was ironic publicity, I'd laugh and move on. But some people actually seem to give a flying crap about this glorified keyboard tray, and that just astounds me.

Maybe I just don't appreciate the rigorous world of cheap plastic shit, but this seems like something that would take five minutes to design, a month to manufacture, and then spend the rest of it's life running the infomercial circuit sometime in the late Dot Com boom. And $130? Really? I mean, it's not like the Phantom is ever gonna come out, guys. You can drop the programmers from the payroll.

At least the infomercial version would only be five easy payments of $19.95.

Nothing. It's just a bit awkward sitting on a couch with a mouse on the couch beside your leg or on the part of your lap the keyboard isn't on. Wireless is fine.

If it holds the keyboard stiff enough, that looks like a really smart design! I wouldn't have even thought about the pivot but it would be good to have - and then it just folds up into a thick keyboard!

Nice... that would sure beat deathmatching with an optical mouse on your knee!

I hope it's not all tied up in patents, I think that could be a good starting point for more like this. Then again, I'm kinda a freak who uses his game consoles at a PC desk, but I have a couch behind me and I've tried and given up on just plain wireless kb/mouse years ago.

This is actually the first picture I have ever seen of it actually on someone's lap and being used.

To me, it looks ungainly. Too likely to topple over. Looks like I would have to be sitting in an uncomfortable, posture-perfect position to use it.
