Not sure, but I suspect what they're saying (even if they're being exceptionally vague about it) wasn't that it was filmed especially for the game, but it's "special filmed content" in the fact that it's filmed content, and it's special because you can't see it in the movie...
Maybe it was especially bad and they clipped it from the film ;)

@Aethyr: Enter the Matrix was filmed as an entirely separate storyline from the film, which was a cool feature...but we all know how it ended...a SHINY turd. If Disney's taking the same approach, then good for them. It should be standard procedure.

At least Disney's covering all bases with this announcement. The co-op feature sounds especially interesting. It's not something I would expect from a movie-based title.

@Ashurahori: I don't think they could fit the entire story into even an extended movie. The bible is a pretty huge book, and I doubt they can afford all the special effects.

I believe the same thing happened with The Golden Compass. I heard the ending in the game had clips that helped give a proper closing to the movie... or a better one.

To me, it sounds like the sole intention of doing this was to push the videogame. Five bucks says that the two scenes were going to be considered "Deleted scenes' anyway, and will probably be included with the DVD release (OR MAYBE TEH BLU-RAYZ!!)

If you ask me, it's a sound strategy for pushing the game. Movie-based videogames are a dime-a-dozen and I know this ploy works well to some extent.

Heck, it warranted one rental of "Enter the Matrix" for me.

And the last Narnia title was halfway decent, so I may pick this up. The scenes alone don't justify a game purchase, but if the gameplay is as good as the previews have made it sound, I'll try it.
