Hmm.. very strange being this is a foreign character. Is it because an artist who is Japanese is painting a Chinese character? Is it intentional absence of kawaii or asthetic? Maybe or it could be the company's input. I see this stuff all the time when Japan creates characters or things which are representative of another country. Look at some fighter characters who are from a different country and they won't be "completely moe/cute". Either their too sexy acting or they use a huge weapon compsred to their size or there is some strange behavior or strange thing on their costume. It even goes beyond games in to movies, music, (shanghai honey) books, tv (a dub of a foreigner will usually sound wierd) and general perceptions about foreigners in regular life.

But I think this is a national structure issue, not the individual for the most part they get these perceptions from their country's standards and schedule than from their own natural deductions.

Does anyone agree?

I was going to get all incensed about how freaking much the people here and elsewhere freak out about "man hands" when you've obviously never seen a real live woman, considering your expectations, which are understandably skewed by Hollywood and ever advert. agency in the world.

HOWEVER! That is one seriously fracked up thumb. It certainly made me cringe.

I saw somewhere that someone already pointed out that those aren't man hands. It's true. They're not. They're not human hands, is what they are(n't).

The technique is called 'foreshortening' folks. It looks bigger because it's supposed to be closer to the viewer.
