@zoesch: Ok... but in this case, if those stages are done and the final package is in the store just waiting for the street date, then why bother? You can't say GTA4 hasn't had a successful marketing campaign already. Its not like there's a launch event going on for the public.

My question is, the store gets a game, any game, a few days early. Too late for QA. By having the item you can assume the product has been pressed, packaged, and distributed. So why not just let them sell the product?

I must be sick. I'd consider myself a hardcore gamer, I love the GTA series and am dying to play IV. However, I'm not buying this day one. I made a deal with myself that I can only buy it when I find a new job. It's a sad day for me and my thumbs.
