@TheEastWind: well.. i just happen to live 5 minutes away from gamecrazy. nobody around here knows what it is, because game stops head quarters are in the metroplex (dallas-ft worth, gamestops based in grapevine, texas). there are only 3 gamecrazys in the metroplex, garland (where i live), frisco, and oak cliff. the frisco and oak cliff locations are attached to hollywoods.

I have 4 Gamestops and 1 GC near me in Fresno, CA and GC is closest but its deep in the ghetto but I still go there more than GS because its simply better. Employees are nicer + MVP crap is better and pricing is usually $2+ cheaper on used games.

All Game Crazy's have a GTA IV countdown clock, makes it pretty easy for reserves. I will be working the release, it's going to be nearly as big as Halo 3 for us, and that was HUGE.

There are currently 575 Game Crazy's in the US currently. Just found out from my DM today. To find a store near you just go to www.gamecrazy.com and use the store locator. Most of the stores listed for the "special" launch are really high volume stores. They weren't chosen because they were in the ghetto.

There were several stores that closed due to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Keep in mind that a chapter 11 bankruptcy is not a company "going out of business." It is a restructuring of a company. The low performing stores were closed and had their assets liquidated. The higher volume stores remained opened. My store as a matter of fact is scheduled for an expansion in about 6 weeks. Doesn't sound like going out of business to me. Game Crazy is alive and kicking and they are poising themselves to give GameStop a run for their money.

ALL GameCrazy's are opening at midnight for this AND Mario Kart. And all are doing tournaments at 8pm for both launches. This is actually fairly common for GameCrazy. Much better than sitting outside waiting for midnight.

They also cleared out all their old school used games, and replaced them with stacks of old XBox and PS2 stuff.

@Pieman2: Agreed, but unfortunately the drive to Gamecrazy is much longer than the 1 to Gamestop. I really prefer Gamecrazy because of the nicer employees, the better "MVP" Card you get, the better prices, and the whole experience.

I wish they were as prolific as Gamestop, because I would stop going to Gamestop all together.

Gamecrazy isnt supplying us w/ any launch special items or anything. You can just pretty much pick up the game, and concessions. Is what I was told were allowed..

theres over 650 gamecrazys in the country, and we're opening 100 more this year. our parent company movie gallery went bankrupt after buying hollywood video (who was originally our parent company) a couple years ago. nowadays, hollywoods are being closed left and right while new gamecrazys are opening up. so gamecrazy by itself is doing fine, but movie gallery (due to things like netflix and on demand) is suffering.
