I welded together a plane using scrap metal pieces, but it looks like I missed the deadline. Wish we had more than 2 days to create the plane, I know the contest started before that but the plane making part (instead of cosplay) wasn't announced until April 9. :(

@Nolano: When I was in the military, there was a guy on another shift who got in some shit for making this really AWESOME aluminum F-16 out of a soda can. He got in trouble for it because he was doing that INSTEAD OF working, rather than WHILE working. Doesn't change the fact that it was awesome.

I actually built a fully functioning plane that was solar powered. It could hold 6 passengers not including a pilot and navigator. But when I went to take a picture of it the battery in my camera died.

You don't see normally new promotions for games that shipped the last holiday season ( Oct 2007 ) at this time of year. They normally start doing price cuts to move more units at this stage instead of contests. It leads one to wonder... did Atari market the title in the US? Phil might be giving Kotaku some ad dollars -- bless his heart. It's not a bad thing, but just very odd.
