@Nekokazzie: Ah, that sign is well hid. =) For some reason I was expecting it to be not on the egg itself, like pretty much everyone else did.

Kinda makes sense when I think about it now - surely you wouldn't be in the finals if you didn't have the sign somewhere on there ;)

PS Never played Okami myself, so can't really say anything about your egg, apart from the art being rather sweet. I personally love the broken Portal turret the best (apart from my own Vault Boy, that is ;D ).

@spork: Yeah I'm not going to vote in this one, they're all too dang great. Some have a great concept, some have great execution, some have great detail, there isn't really one that stands out for me as better than all the others. Good on all the finalists, that's for sure- an amazing selection here.

Though I must say, I'll probably never enter a Kotaku competition again (except maybe the classic kotaku-archive scavenger hunts), the competition's too tough. I'm thinking of the paper airplane contest a while ago, but really every contest ends up being the same. The internet is a fierce opponent, and seems to outdo itself every time.

I like the idea of the fallen portal turret egg, and I love the spot-on Phil Harrison egg, by my vote goes to the Okami egg, for being painted with great skill. I quite liked the big daddy one too but there was too much model, not enough egg. Same goes for many others! A beautiful diarama does not a well made egg produce.

since this forum doesn't count, I heart all of them, particularly the Okami egg(true beauty), Loz (well done), Broken Turret(poetic, I guess), Katamari(nice backround), Patapon (good effort) and the Dr. Robotnik (classic, genius). Snake was funny but a little under done (but of course, still funny).
