I'd be all over this if they'd thrown the novel fans or ilovebees fans a bone, but they didn't... And the Halo story is boring without that stuff, to be frank. It's not the best written in the world, Master chief is an uninspired character, and the only thing holding any semblance of drama together is the incredible music.

I'll go listen to the ILB finale now and cry over Yasmine and what could have been with Halo 3...

This is halo.bungie.org doing this, NOT Bungie Studios.

I know Halo sees precious little Kotaku love, but there's a huge distinction there. HBO is fan owned and fan run. They're not tied to Bungie at all.

That's someone's personal time, effort, and resources dedicated to hosting content for the masses, free of charge.
