playing with a friend is strongly recommended, as is playing it on hard. seeing that after playing it through hard and going back to easier levels, there was no point to take cover. as you just mowed everyone down.

I've played through the game A LOT (guilty pleasure game) and with three different buddies being player two and the AI, I've never run into that issue. I've hit plenty of others (see above) but that seems to be MUCH less a glitch than a lack of skill.

]]> <![CDATA[Zero Punctuation On Army Of Two]]> Army of Two is buggy. Guns get stuck firing. You get stuck in over-the-shoulder shooting mode and have to walk slowly. The enemy AI sometimes just breaks and they run in circles. Two vs Two mode is just awful (such great potential, though).

Despite it all, I really, really like the game. Live co-op always helps. The setting is pretty tasteless (the suicide bombers remind me of the terrorists in Postal 2, so that's no good), and I should like the humor or dialog...

but it's like playing Lethal Weapon the game. Well, maybe more Tango and Cash the game. Either way, it's fun. It's big dumb fun. Even when the controls break down, you can get them to work again with some zooming, crouching, and diving into cover.

It's all very juvenille and I thought I'd hate it, but like Jet Set Radio, which I thought I'd loathe for it's combonation of cell-shaded looks, skating, and tagging, the sum of crap in Army of Two equals oddly fun.

I've probably beaten the game five times with various friends and it doesn't get old.

Also, *shh!* I like it better than Rainbow Six Vegas 2! It's less buggy than Vegas and more fun. When Team Rainbow lost their taste for tactics, they put themselves in a position to be beaten mercilessly by a buggy Gears of War clone that gained my love despite all it's numberous faults and moronic selling points.

I dig Army of Two.

It tries to hide the fact that it is bland with two "badass" characters, colorful dialogue, relevant story and interesting duo play. The A.I. blew (when I tried to disable a missile and was taken down my idiot A.I. partner pointlessly dragged me from one distant point to another; that's when I called it quits). Its mostly that the controls are totally obtuse. You need to hold down multiple buttons AND use the D-pad just to switch weapons (which means you can't move unless you have 3 thumbs). Worst controls of any shooter ever. Don't waste your money. Luckily I bought it used from GameStop and I traded it back in for No More Heroes, a much better game.

On normal difficulty this game is insanely easy, which in reality it should be as you're covered head to toe in body armor. On realistic or hard or whatever they call it, the game is stupidly hard(er). When a few shots can knock you out of the fight it's just stupid. Meanwhile mr. no armored baddie takes 10 rounds to the chest and keeps on fight'n. Same can be said about the lame "bosses" who possess virtually the same armor as you do yet can only be killed from behind. Thank the gods for free games :)

While shooting the armored folks in the bum works, you can kill them just by shooting the shit out of em from the front. Just be sure you have LOTS OF AMMO. The shotgun works best since you can knock the tart on his ass then pump him full of lead while he tries to get up only to be knocked down again.

Excellent as always Yhatzee but this review of his made it seem like he actually enjoyed the game since its not as mean spirited as he usually is. ;D
