I hope she doesn't play videogames. What the industry needs is professionals; people with contacts, people with experiences, people who can make things happen. Someone with a type-A personality who doesn't have time for video games. If the industry wants to get respect from the big boys it needs to put on a (pant)suit, and this looks like a step in the right direction.

Most lobbyists do not know what they're lobbying for until after they get hired. Most are hired for their ability to convince politicians about the topic they were hired to lobby for. While it helps if she knew about gaming beforehand most lobbyist will be given tons of research material to go through and study so they could be brought up to speed on what they need to know.
