Though it would seem to me that the PS3 would be the better fit. I mean, it's a slightly more open platform, and, well, last I checked Sony wasn't doing video rentals, while Microsoft is.

Course I could be wrong about that. I haven't spent too much time poking around at the online store on my PS3.

I was actually messing around w/the PS3 browser last night and it handled like molassas.

@smitty1123: It would be nice if it worked w/Firefox and it may after IE8 comes out since MS is finally going to conform to the web standards everyone else agreed on long ago.

Otherwise you need some sort of OTHER set-top box (PS3, if that much is true) to get Netflix going via streams. Owning both consoles, I couldn't really care which one (if not both) it's available for, but it seems really really really important to Microsoft and their "we're not doing Blu-Ray any time soon" mentality.

I've been hooking my laptop up to my hdtv for instant downloads and it's a real inconvenience since my ps3 has an internet browser. As it is, we only use Watch Now for TV series, because Netflix doesn't offer subtitled anime or DVD extras.
