Very few before had much in the way of feeling at all like their movie counterparts, but this looks like it's getting the entire feel across.

Bugger the elitists who are obviously playing more serious games or directing serfs to gather firewood for the winter. They'd be holding themselves too tightly to appreciate that we *just* might have come into an age where the majority of film-to-game licenses may not suck.

I don't get it, movies have to go through thousands of people in order to get approved for production... how is it then that not one person stood up during this time and said "Hey, this is REALLY offensive and stupid, maybe we shouldn't make this movie because it will offend Asian people and Jack Black isn't funny and the idea is generally in bad taste to begin with. Anyone...?"

This movie has everything I hate about trends in movies these days: It makes light of stereotyping Asian culture (seriously, why is it okay to still do that? You can't have characters like Speedy Gonzales anymore, why can you have Kung Fu Panda?). It's 3D, which lets the studio produce it fast enough to stuff it full of stupid pop-culture references that will be irrelevant in 5 years. It's capitalizing on a celebrity voice actor, who isn't actually a professional voice actor and hasn't been funny since they became really famous.

The only thing more horrifying than this is the law that states franchise video games must be worse than their source.
