Okay, I wanted to make this comment wayyyyyy earlier, but I have to go through a proxy at work, and for some reason I can't login to Kotaku when I try to go through that or my Japanese mobile... Anyhow, I digress.

Who's ready for some constructive criticism?!?

This site has a lot of potential, but I'm having concerns similar to those of some of the other readers of Kotaku. Sites like Threadless are much cheaper and feature much better designs for the money. Like another reader mentioned, there is a sale going on right now where I can (and did) purchase T's for just $9. While Threadless may be more popular and have many more customers, shameless Kotaku plugs will only get you so far.

Meat Bun (don't know why you didn't just go with Niku Man, even when it's posted all over the site in Japanese) T-shirts look like knock-offs, and the website can use a lot of work. It's clear that whomever designed it used Wordpress, and didn't do very much hand coding. The banner uses unoriginal Japanese-style Photoshop brushes that can be easily obtained by anyone, and your logo, while cute, is crude at best. I wish you lots of luck, and hope that you release more video game-worthy shirts, but I'll be holding off until I see better designs and something worth investing in.

I don't think $30 bucks is bad for game shirts... but I'll have to do some constructive criticism here if Michael doesn't mind it:

I found the website and the shirts kinda bland.
Maybe its just me... but they are a little too conservative to be gaming shirts.
Well, maybe that was the whole point anyways... gaming shirts that don't look too nerdy/flashy.

Also, I don't know about the manufacturing process, but it'd be better if you guys didn't stick with the old square front square back stamp.
Makes them look somewhat cheap. Don't get me wrong, only a point of view.

Maybe put something on the lower right, something small on the back, used some patchwork or some different detailing.

It all depends on the market you are aiming, the style the designer thought about in the first place and how much money/effort you are willing to put into those...

So, maybe, disregard all that... I think it's more fair to say that the shirts don't quite fit my taste... or what I would expect from "game shirts".

But I think I'm expecting too much... after all, I'm almost describing my dream gaming shirt here...

I just found me a new place to shop for clothes! Thanks, though, I'm not digging the "TYPE OR DIE" or the "SUPER NEO TURBO" ones at all. The rest however, are very fucking spiffy.

It's just something about vertically stretched out (especially with type) graphics that make T-shirts completely horrible to look at for me. The agro one wouldn't be very appealing if I didn't absolutely love agro. :o

I'll definitely keep looking back and buying them whenever I need shirts though!

Other than that, I really like the site. The color scheme is easy on the eyes, and even though Myriad fonts are a bit overused (thanks, Apple), they still look very good -- particularly on-screen.

I am also very fond of that giant, 10 pixel stroke around the photos.

The designs are cool, but $30 is a bit pricey, considering most of the shirts are single color designs too, which to the person above said it was a good deal, it isn't. $10 (If bought the first day), free shipping, good quality, sizes from small to 3X, no extra charge for the largest sizes, and very often, they have pretty awesome designs. Even if you don't get them the first night, it's still only an extra $5, and occasionally, they have random shirts for $6.66 or two shirts for $10.

Woot's shirt site makes it very hard to justify anything over $15 for a normal shirt.

Hmmm...they're not ugly or anything, but they're really...blah.

They suffer from the same design flaw as most novelty tshirts. The references and themes and whatnot are great, but the designs themselves never seem to get as much attention to detail. Now if someone could make video game shirts that were actually cool to look at as well as having awesome novelty value, I'd be sold.

Seriously, I understand that it's not cheap, but we've really done our best to use good materials, expert printing and good packaging to try and make it worth the cost. We're doing limited prints, so we hope that an extra fiver isn't asking too much. We tried to look at what we're paying regularly for clothes and settled on a price point.
