They had better bring, at least, the top 4 English tracks on that list to the US. Blur, Oasis and Muse definitely deserve a US release as well.

Also, are these just DLC songs? Or are they taking a few tracks from the US version out? Or does EU just get a bunch of additional songs that we didn't? Cos that would be LAME.

I personally think it's ludicrous. Rock Band was one of the best games of LAST YEAR, while us folks here in europe have yet to even get a release date!

Here's something I read back in August last year:
"The European continent's rich and diverse musical pedigree transcends culture and language, which is why we are extremely pleased to announce Rock Band in Europe for early 2008," stated Jeff Yapp, EVP, MTV Program Enterprises. "It was imperative that we have significant on-disc and downloadable localized music content for multiple European territories on the PlayStation 2 system, Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system in order for Europeans to truly get the full Rock Band experience and interact with the music they love."

What's that amounted to? A couple of extra songs and a 4 month (and counting) delay?
All those people whining about not getting Muse should remember that at least they have... well... anything!

Granted, I don't own either a 360 or a PS3 so I'm not that familiar with the DLC system, but to me this only seems to be a diversion for clouding us Europeans from the fact that the dlcs released so far won't be available to us come launch, if at all. That sucks way more than having some silly German bands handed to us. Meh.

Also, release the goddamn game already, how the hell can it take so long translate this game and sort out the rights. Once again we Europeans are getting screwed over even though there's actually more people here and almost as much hardware. FTS.

And allow me to add some more sanity to this. This is not- I repeat *not*- verified by anyone official. The 'exclusive' phrase is never explained. All we can say for sure is these songs will come to Europe. Everything else is speculation and causing a lot of needless fighting.

From the article is just sounds like those are extra tracks being included in the European version of the game which means it's entirely possible and likely that the US will get those songs. The 4 English ones anyway. Especially since all 4 of those were on the leaked list.

I've been thinking about buying it for months now, but have held off because I just moved to a new city and don't know anyone. Being able to jam on Hier Kommt Alex would probably convince me to buy, though. Love that song.

This makes sense. When a friend of mine from England visited and played Rock Band, he didn't know a pretty large chunk of the music. I always thought that part of the reason there was a delay between North American and foreign versions of the game had to do with Harmonix/MTV wanting to localize playlists.

Now, I like a lot of British bands. So I hope some of the Euro stuff is available for download here in the U.S. I'd love to rock out to some Gang of Four, New Order, Stone Roses or "There She Goes" by the La's.
