@BRandomS: Actually, proper corsets are made with steel boning (I prefer 1/2"). The crappy garments you find in retail stores with the plastic in them are generally referred to as bustiers.

Boning refers to back in the day when corsets used to use actual whale bone to reinforce the seams. Boning today means there's pieces of plastic inside the seams. Gives it shape. I think this thing is sexy! Rock on ladies.
