@phalanges: I actually find that her stronger jaw kinda works for it - Lara being a strong female character, a model with that jaw might make her slightly less attractive as fap material but to me it fits the character a little more by providing a little personality.

The tanning thing people have mentioned... that could be partially the lighting for the photo. She's still reasonably pale - Lara should be pretty brown - but probably not actually as pale as those photos show.

And it's a gimmicky attempt to catch onto the end of an old trend, yes, but in a lot of those shots (the fourth one in the Kotaku gallery, and some of the ones on the source site) she fits my vision of Lara pretty nicely. *shrug* For a half-arsed effort I'm actually pretty impressed.
