Only the less observant would recognise that model # as the white PS3. CECHH is simply the Japanese 40Gb model which has a newer mobo design than the current US 40Gb model CECHG. If NA gets the white 40Gb PS3 it's model number will be CECHH01 CW. Japanese 40Gb model # is CECHH00 CW. 00 is the region code for Japan, 01 is the region code for NA. CW simply means ceramic white.

Sorry, but CECHH01 is simply a black 40Gb PS3 with internal differences that consumers won't even notice.

I like black consoles. Black PS2, PS3, DS, GameCube... Wii if it could have been, and I even think the 360 Elite looks better.

But hey, could they NOT do a white one? :p Looking at old E3 footage, maybe they'll have a "silver" or "titanium" or whatever they called the third finish.

I could probably be convinced to replace the PS3 case with a clear one though, I've always been a softie for those. I did it to my PSP, but the cheap thing developed too many cracks and I went back to black - then I realized how good it looked in the original color.

Uh, you can't play PS2 games through remote play even with a BC Ps3.

There are also no Spiderman 40GB @ Amazon too. It'd be great if this model had DS and a game, but I'm guessing no way if it's released in March.

You know, at first it looks attractive, but damn! White would look so ugly with the rest of my electronics. I don't see how something so big and white could fit in with the rest of my entertainment set.

I mean, it works for the Wii because of it's size, but the Ps3 is pretty bulky. I'll stay with my black one.
