April looks to be a great month for Atlus, what with Persona 3 Fes coming out within weeks of Arcana Heart as well.

I've been looking forward to this game, obscure japanese fighters are ftw. All you emo people that compare it to SFIV and Tekken 6, should go back and play some Marvel vs Capcom 2 to remember what true 2D fighters are all about. I only wish we got more games like this, and I HAVE become an Atlus fanboy over the years. They've put out some not-so-hot titles, but the majority of their translated games are excellent.

This game is worth looking into at 29.99.

yeah it was a bit whiny, but entertaining nonetheless. i cuss like mad when i play games. how can something that pisses me off so much bring me so much joy?

i thought the background was a bit dull. kind of 3-d but incredibly bland. it does remind me of galaxy fight for neo geo, with the goofy yet predictable characters.

It doesn't offend me. No different if it was a wrestling game having an all male cast with the usual buly muscles to attract "group X." I learned a long time ago to forget/don't look into these types of things.

Like there are plenty of good anime, but they have the "big boobs and fan service" thing. Its not going to stop me from checking out the series to see if I would like it myself.

Plus, those were plant vines, not tentacles. Don't let that type of thinking fog your thoughts!

@Kia: Judging from your opinion of how to say the name, I don't think you're in much of a position to give Fahey crap. =\ ("Kone Oh Hah"? Try again, the name is Konoha. Ko. No. Ha. The first syllable is "Ko," not "Kon," and the second is "No," not "O.") Take this as a reminder: as much as one person butchering a name might annoy you, remember that you might be butchering it yourself -- and that the way you butcher it annoys somebody else just as much!

@Foggynotion: Kemonomimi ("beast ears", 獣耳) is a catch-all genre for bunny ears, cat ears, etc. Puppy ears would fit under that label. And yeah, it's definitely a stereotypical anime girl category. Along with maids, nurses, pointy-eared girls, glasses-wearing girls, busty girls, lolis, etc.

@Mike Fahey: Thanks for the video! I'm kinda disappointed by the A.I. and the moveset (both seemed rather limited), but I still might give the game a whirl since it's so friggin' popular in some circles right now in Japan. Who knows if it's nothing more than a "2D fighter for Dead or Alive fans" or not ... but hey, I'm a DOA fan, so (whatever that says about me ;p) maybe I'll like this game, too! Atlus, Atlus, Atlus...you guys have been doing some really silly projects lately...I don't really know what to say about this game.

It reminds me of those Melty Blood-esque fighters on the PC that started out as porno games but eventually had fighting games made of them with all the porn cut out. Then again, I'm personally not a fan of the "prepubescent anime girls doing anything" concept we seem to be seeing out of Japan a lot, so maybe I'm not the best one to talk.

Even so, it is Atlus, so the localization will be top-notch. I'm sure someone'll enjoy this game, even if it doesn't turn any heads sales-wise.

Umm... early copy? This game has been out since last year. Atlus doesn't need to change the code or anything, just dialogue.
The sequel was shown at AOU, featuring more little girls fighting... But I just want to say I doubt the graphics / presentation is getting any better... *shrug*

@Topic: This game reminds of Mahō Sensei Negima! It also reminds me of some other obscure "girl's only" fighting games like Seifuku Densetsu Pretty Fighter or Asuka 120%. Still weird knowing one of them is making it stateside. I'll definitely check this one out.
