I see the value in video games and most people I know have other hobbies in addition to games such as sports, videos, dancing, cars, etc etc. So most of the people I know are not in any way like this. Just normal people who play games. But there's those that play games when they hang with friends, on weekends, and every moment, and sorry to say but a lot of girls would rather go out dancing, to a bar, a show, etc.. so if you only game then you're sorta stuck if the girl isn't the same way. At that point I feel gaming can be dangerous... well, at least if you're not getting some type of exercise.

Either way we should have a sense of humor too. Most people game to some degree. I hardly ever meet someone like that. Sort of like poeple who read comics. Most people don't meet that prototype comic geek, but if you do... watch out! Same goes for game geeks. I don't want to hear about why nintedo is better than sony is better than 360. I'd rather spend time talking about the issue of racism, gender, class, etc in gaming. Which seems to go largely ignored on this blog. Going outside our bubble is a good thing sometimes. I'd be very interested in reading a piece on who makes the games I play as far as where are the factories usually located, the pay. You know a dose of the real world every now and then.

Anyways, I watched the video (on mute, the only way to watch an MC video) and I was not impressed. Those gym socks do NOT go with that silver dress.
