Ok, now I realize that many of you are totally against this from the get-go. I, on the other hand, may consider getting this. Being middle-class, I cannot afford Rock Band, unfortunately.

I am 15.

I listen to My Chemical Romance and Weezer and stuff like that.

Who the hell cares if it has Hannah Montana in it?

She has a couple good songs.

But please don't group all teens as emo cutters.

I love music of almost any kind. (excluding polka, country, and techno)

I am looking forward to this.

@Ugly Joe: Yeah, they're Emo. I don't know how the modern bands that play that... uh, music got to be called Emo. It's really gotten out of control. Emo, as a term for Emotional Punk, was coined in 1984-ish.

This will totally have Hannah Montana in it. Haven't you seen the "Disney Channel" version of DDR in stores? While they have High School Musical and other stuff on it too, Hannah Montana has the largest picture on the cover by far.

I agree with the other posters, it'll definitely be like a Rock Band for Kids.

@Setzer IIDX: While I do love Kingdom Hearts, Disney only allowed their characters to be in it. It was all Square-Enix for the brilliant game design and the writers for the story etc. So, this game, based on other disney games, will probably suck.

Forgetting that this is a Disney product for a second...I believe they're underestimating the importance of those peripherals. A player can suspend his disbelief and feel that he is "playing guitar" on a guitar-shaped controller, modeled after a real guitar. I have to wonder if that feat is possible using a 4-inch long Wiimote.

TBH when they talk about music games w/ peripherals I always wondered "when is somebody just going to use the Wii Remote and nunchuk?" I'm so not saying it will make add-on guitars and drums obsolete, just when was somebody going to try. So dont right away bash it. Also how are the graphics worse then rockbands when rockband hasnt even been announced on the wii yet?

So far this is actually looking to be one of the better looking third party games.

Some how i get the feeling that this games "through the fire and flames" equivalent will be playing "its a small world after all" for the full duration (7 hours). Not because its a difficult song to play, but rather it will be a test of the players ability to stave of insanity and finger cramps through its tediousness and redundancy.

@njhardcoreguy: Er...then no, I still don't see what you mean. The Wii also has plenty of T and E rated games that aren't necessarily "geared towards toddlers".

I like the SNES as much as the next guy. But I don't see how Nintendo's strategy back then was any different than it is now, except that now they target old folks as well as everyone else.

I would actually wager to say that Nintendo targetted specifically kids way more back in the NES and SNES days than they do now. I don't think I ever saw a video game ad for a Nintendo game in the 80's or 90's that featured an adult. Or it would feature an adult who was a guy dressed up as a wizard leading some kid around.

I don't know if it's an actual microphone though. I think it's so you can plug a mic in and then the Wiimote turns it in to data or whatever.

Also, I think this game looks pretty fun, I don't see what peoples problem is with it. I mean, it's no Rock Band, but it's also not 170 bucks.

No way, this'll never beat Rock Band.
Having the game, I can already tell a few of the differences, but for the most part, the peripherals make the game. Anything less then a guitar with 5 colored butons and a whammy bar will FAIL.
