Nah B&W are'nt colors.^^ Man I would like the blue-black ider cherry.black one in matte. hmm But when I think about it, I like to polish my DS everytime so it shines, like the other expensive hardware.

RE: matte finish

The two-tone DS Lites (Crimson/Onyx and Cobalt/Onyx) are only glossy on the top (where it's red/blue). The rest of the system is matte.

Well the DS lite not only "cool looking", but the screen is much brighter and clearer. Smaller size means more pocketable and also I think the battery life is better (not sure about battery life).

So that's enough reason DS lite is better than the original one.

Generally, matte black paint also picks up fingerpirnts, bigtime! Moreover, you can't wipe them off as easily.

Personally I think that the aesthetics of this DS are rather poor.

That's just a white DS with matte black paint applied. You could do the same with an airbrush as long as you used the right, non-corrosive paint.

I wish that Nintendo would release some bright colors, like they did for the Game Boy Color and the N64. I'm getting really sick of all this future chic bullcrap. No more white, no more black, no more off-white 'oooh I'm so postmodern' stuff. I would pay good money for a carrot orange DS, a GBC-colors purple Wii, a lime green 360 and a dodger blue PS3.

Maybe its just the lighting but the inside looks like that dead gray that the Nintendo was made out of. On the other hand, anything without that gloss is indeed a huge improvement :D
